Paris is the capital city of France, situated on the River Seine, in northern France. Paris is the most popular tourist destination in the world. Paris is the essence of all things French and it is impossible not to fall in love with the city. Musée d'Orsay situated in a railway station has a vast collection of works from the 1848 to 1914. Orsay is known for its Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art. The collection is arranged chronologically and contains works by Monet, Manet and Courbet. The famous painting by Gustave Doré entitled L'énigme and Henri Chapu's marble statue of Joan of Arc in Domrémy is on permanent display. The world's largest triumphal arch, the Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile is a must see, it has names of victories and less important victories as well. The Jardin des Plantes is France's main botanical garden famous for it’s a maze called the Labyrinth which was added. Paris is not only known as the City of lights but the city of music, melodies, dance, sound, potpourri of fantasies like romance, love, fashion, clothing, perfume, and jewellery.
